A link tie all seven Portuguese citizens in Air India crash - Diu roots. Bharat News

There were seven Portuguese citizens in the passenger list Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London, crashed on June 12It is learned that all seven had their roots in the East Portuguese Colony, Diu Island on the west coast of India.

According to officials of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, the Air India Crash grieved several families in the region, whose members were on “regular visits”. According to officials, many people from the villages of Diu further chose to become a British citizen. Since the accident, many people in the villages in Diu have traveled to Ahmedabad to help in identifying the loved ones. On Monday, officials said that two bodies were sent to DIU after identification.

The seven Portuguese citizens who have lost their lives with the link of Diu have been identified as Chandu Baguane, Santubhai Bika, Hemsi Shantil, Vanita Kanha, Devji Lachman, Girish Lalji and R Wasramo Premgi.

The lonely survivor Vishwash and his brother Ajay were also on a visit to Diu to help manage their family’s local fishing business. Ajay died in the accident.
