Government lawyer Ravindra Shukla opposed bail, claiming that the applicant deliberately pushed WhatsApp messages and videos to hurt religious sentiments. However, he presented that no other crime was registered against the professor.

Justice Singh thought it appropriate to give bail in view of the facts and circumstances after listening to both sides and reviewing the case diary.
