Mutual respect and sense of understanding will continue to guide India and Bangladesh in working for the welfare of the people, Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus wrote in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yunas’s letter came in response to PM Modi’s message, which greet the Bangladeshi people and the interim chief advisor. He posted both letters in an X post on Sunday.
In his letter, he said that Modi’s “thoughtful” message “reflects shared values between the two countries”. The Chief Advisor also increased his wishes for the Prime Minister and the people of India.
“I am confident that mutual respect and sense of understanding will continue to guide our nations to work together for the good of our countries,” he said in a letter on 6 June.
Yunus stated that the festival is “the time of reflection, which brings together the communities in a sense of celebration, sacrifice, generosity and unity, and inspires all of us to work together for maximum benefits of people around the world”.
In his letter on 4 June, Modi said that the festival is “integral part of India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage”.
He said that it is “reminiscent of the timeless values of sacrifice, compassion and brotherhood, which are essential in the creation of a peaceful and inclusive world”.
