AAP divided Delhi into two vertical ... ignored those who pay taxes: CM Rekha Gupta in Express Eda | Bharat News

Accusing the previous AAP government of ignoring the tax-dearists into “two verticals”, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Thursday People are now running towards “Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida” in the National Capital Region (NCR) instead of establishing business in the city.

Speaking at the Express ADDA on Thursday, Gupta also said that BJP’s promise to distribute Rs 2,500 per month to women of economically weaker sections would be implemented soon, saying that his government did not want “to run into things”. When asked about the ongoing demolition drive in slum groups, Gupta said it was time when people started encroaching when “what is wrong”.

“The previous government and the party divided Delhi into two verticals – there are a people who pay taxes that help run the city. They never paid attention to them … from traders to industry, from the industry, there is nothing in Delhi.

“Then there are people whom they lured by giving 200 units of electricity freedom to get votes. They used this formula in such a way that people were left on their equipment and had no accountability … but gradually, people understood that it would not help the city grow … We need industry and infrastructure,” she said.

On the ongoing demolition drive, Gupta said that wrong practices should be flagged. “In this city, people have stopped saying what is wrong. Today, we are in a situation where it is wrong to say that you cannot build a house on railway tracks; it is considered wrong after court orders,” he said.

“Despite giving a slum dwellers house of Rs 35 lakh, what can you say if they do not move and remove encroachments? There are 675 slum clusters and millions of houses in Delhi which are eligible for rehabilitation on the basis of set rules. Neither the Congress has given home to anyone, if they motivate them to hand over and they are motivated to hand over the basic of the city. Also new homes for people, ”he said.

In 2011-12, while answering a question on being part of the anti-corruption movement, who gave birth to AAP, Gupta said, “It was a moment when the people of Delhi thought that a change was going to come. All of them wanted a corruption-free government. With that hope, hundreds of people joined and now people will not forget this party.”

He said, “I do not come from a political background … I was the first girl in the Agrawal Samaj to contest the elections of the university … I am happy that today is a party (BJP), who gives opportunities to those who come from a non-political background,” she said.

Speaking about the full state for Delhi, which his party demanded by 2014, Gupta said, “The previous government wanted to choose only the quarrel, sometimes with the Center and LG, sometimes with the courts and the police. But with the courts and the police. But the fact that the governments can cooperate, there is no harmful atmosphere for their construction. It takes priority.”

On the monetary plan for women, the Chief Minister said, “It is our intention to implement a foolish plan so that the eligible persons who do not have ration cards also benefit from it. We are working on a foolish policy. Work is going on, it will be provided very soon.”
