Former BJP MLA from Jwalpur, Suresh Rathore has been expelled from the party for six years for alleged “vulgar conduct”.
According to the state media in -charge of the BJP, Manveer Singh Chauhan, the party had taken cognizance of a viral video on social media, who showed Rathore with his second wife without divorcing his first wife. Calling it a “vulgar conduct”, he said that the party had issued a show-causal notice to him, with an explanation for his conduct.
The video of the former MLA went viral on social media, in which she is with Saharanpur -based actress Urmila Sanawar, who introduced her as his second wife. This gave birth to objections from the Congress, as they called it a violation of the Uniform Civil Code. Code restrictions polygamy.
Chauhan said that the response presented by Rathore was not satisfactory for the organization. Chauhan said, “He was found guilty of repeatedly violating the party’s code of conduct and social decoration.
His video shook the controversy, Rathore retreated from his statement and said it was part of a film.
Congress spokesperson, Garima Dashuni said that it was an example of BJP’s immoral politics and double standards. “If it was really a task, should we now believe that every public behavior of BJP leaders has been scripted like a film? And if it was real, was there nothing but party’s show-causes notice, but not a distance?” Dasuni said earlier this week. He said that the BJP was initially silent, and only when public outrage increased on the violation of the uniform civil code of the former ruling party MLA, the party issued a notice. He said, “It once again pretends to be the BJP’s opportunist politics and seriousness towards the dignity of women.”
