The premiere of Cuttack has withdrawn its order, in which women faculty, employees and students were asked that they are not in front of backlash at 5.30 pm.
The order issued by the registrar of the 157 -year -old institute, but withdrew was withdrawn after hours, said: “No female faculty, employees and students are not allowed to stay in the workplace or after 5.30 pm.
It was withdrawn through a separate order.
According to sources, university officials may be motivated to take steps in view of a student’s suicide after alleged sexual harassment in a college in Odisha.
“However, the Department of Higher Education intervened,” an official said that such an order would send a wrong message. “
When contacted, the university registrar refused to comment, just stating that the order was withdrawn.

In 1868, established with intermediate level classes at Cuttack District School – Now Raveenshow is known as Collegiate School – Ravenshow University became a degree college in 1876 and eventually became a state university. The college was named after Thomas Edward Raveshw, who was a British officer in charge of Orissa till 1878, and initially affiliated to Calcutta University.
Meanwhile, the Odisha government has directed all departments to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of sexual harassment of women working by all institutions/organizations in the workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Prevention) Act, 2013.

In a letter to all the secretaries and collectors, Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, especially asked for strict implementation of the posh (prevention of sexual harassment) Act to ensure a safe, respectable and inclusive environment for women.
