After stepping on Broken Slab, the worker falls into the drain in Lucknow, India dies

A 32 -year -old painter, who allegedly fell into an open drain in Lucknow during heavy rains on Saturday, was found dead on Sunday after a comprehensive discovery operation.

His body had recovered from the drain, a short distance from the place where he fell into the Thakurganj area.

Lucknow Assistant Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Singh said, “The body is being sent for postmortem. No case has been registered so far.”

According to the police, Suresh Lodhi was on his way to work, when he fell into the drain after stepping on a broken slab. It is suspected that he could not see the open drain due to heavy rains on the road and the flow of water.

He is alive by his wife and three minor children.

Celebration offer

When Suresh could not initially be located and it was feared that he was swept away, the local residents accused the Nagar Nigam of gross negligence. He said that complaints about the broken slab were repeatedly ignored.

The protesters also blocked the road, and the matter was resolved after the authorities assured them. Intense Action will be taken and efforts will continue to fix the victim.

After the news of his falling in the drain, a large crowd gathered on the spot and police and other officials were informed. A search operation was started with the help of several agencies including police, Nagar Nigam and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
