Ranjita Gopkumaran, the nurse of Pathanamthitta, Kerala, who died on June 12 in the Air India Flight AI 171 accident, received an emotional farewell from his kingdom on Tuesday.
42 -year -old Ranjita, a native of Puld in Pathanamthitta, was returning to Rani Alexandra Hospital in her workplace – Partsmouth, England – after a brief visit to Kerala to oversee her new home and request that the state healthcare expanded her holiday.
His body, which was flown from Ahmedabad to Kerala on Tuesday, was taken to the premises of the house which was his dream, and where she wanted to walk with her two school children and her widowed mother after three months.
Before being taken home, his body was taken to his Alma Mater, Shri Vivekanandan High School, where thousands of people paid tribute.
In the first week of June, a single parent, Ranjita enrolled her son, Induchudan and daughter, Ethika respectively in the same school, in class 10 and 7, in the same school. He was expected to return from England this year to settle in the village and re -connect the state healthcare as a nurse.
On June 11, the day she left for Ahmedabad, Ranjita made detailed suggestions on the remaining construction work to catch a flight to London the next day.
For more than a decade, a nurse, Ranjita worked in Oman till 2019, when he was selected for the State Health Service. She returned to Kerala and joined the Pathanamthitta District Hospital in Kojanheri as an employee nurse.

Later, she took a long holiday and went back to Oman. A year ago, Ranjita moved to England to work with National Health Service there.
On Tuesday, when his body reached the state capital, 12 days after the tragedy, ministers, police officers and representatives of Narka roots were among thousands of people who gathered to pay tribute.
