This is the first recorded accident of Boeing 787 Worldwide, known for its strong security records. The flight was under command of captain Sumate Sabarwal, with 8,200 flight hours, the first officer Clive Kundar assisted with 1,100 hours.

    Yes. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aircraft released the day of May 1 after the takeoff, indicating an important emergency.     The incident “heartbreak beyond words” says, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked for a continuous update and ordered to provide full assistance to all agencies. He spoke with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Home Minister Amit Shah, directed him to travel to Ahmedabad and ensured that all necessary assistance be provided. Air India has activated a passenger helpline (1800 5691 444) and is assisting the families of the affected people. Tata Group President N Chandrasekaran expressed “deep grief” and promised total cooperation with emergency respondents and investigators. The airline has supported the affected families.
