Bank holiday 2025: On Thursday, 29 May, banks will be closed to mark Maharana Pratap Jayanti in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, with the birth anniversary of Mewar Rajput Raja, Maharana Pratap Singh.
According to the Julian calendar, Maharana Pratap was born on 9 May 1540. However, according to the Hindu calendar, his birth anniversary is seen. As a result, his birth anniversary will be May 29, 2025.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) makes bank holidays compulsory in India, including the negotiable instruments act, RTGS holidays and various regional and national holidays, as well as compulsory workwear on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.
