The Election Commission said on Monday that Bihar has become the first state in the country, with less than 1,200 voters in polling stations.

The pole body recently exercised an exercise to reduce the polling station per polling station, which up to a maximum of 1,200 to reduce queues during polling days.

To accommodate voters, 12,817 new polling stations have been added to prevent long queues in Bihar, the EC said.

The total number of polling stations in Bihar will now run to 90,712 before 77,895.

A similar practice will be done to reduce the number of voters per polling stations per polling stations (called raveness in EC terminology) in all states and center areas.

Celebration offer

The EC was working to ensure that voters do not need to travel more than 2 kilometers to reach polling stations wherever possible.
