BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has shared the four -decade -old document, alleging that the Congress government enlisted the help of Britain, which is to take Operation Blue Star out by the Indian Army for 1984 military action, aimed at removing Journal Singh Bhindranwale and other terrorists of the Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar.
Sharing a document on X, Dubey claimed that the plan for military operation started six months ago. He alleged, “In 1984, Indira Gandhi attacked Golden Temple in collaboration with Britain. The British Army officials were present in Amritsar at the time. For the Congress, the Sikh community is just a toy. The agreement to give Pakistan to Karatpur Sahib was eventually signed by Sardar Swararan Singh in 1960.”
“Ghani Zel Singh was made President during 1984 attacks on Golden Temple and killing innocent devotees. In 1984, HKL Bhagat, Jagdish Tyler, Sajjan Kumar, Manmohan Singh added to HKL Bhagat, Jagdish Tyler, Manmohan Singh to hide the Sikh massacre and to save senior leaders.”
What does the document say?
On February 23, 1984, the dated letter is titled ‘Top Secret and Person’, ‘Sikh Community’ and is shown from BJP Fall, Private Secretary, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London Swia 2ah. It was addressed to private secretary Hug Taylor Esk to the Home Secretary under the Home Office.
It read: “The Home Secretary must have seen a press report of communal violence in Punjab. Foreign Secretary wants to make them aware of some backgrounds that can increase the possibility of results among Sikh communities in this country.”
Saying that Indian authorities sought a British advice on a plan to remove Sikh extremists from the golden temples, the letter stated, “The Foreign Secretary decided to give a favorable response for the Indian request and with the Prime Minister’s agreement, a tragic officer visited India and prepared a plan, which Mrs. Gandhi has approved.
