The Himachal Pradesh Police has detected the origin of one of the seven emails obtained between April 16 and June 9, threatening to blow up several important government offices and the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
However, all the seven bombs of the danger email, because, the security agencies did not find any suspected object or explosive material, while the Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Mandi, Kullu, Hamirpur and the High Court premises found no suspicious item or explosive material while searching for the offices of the deputy commissioner of the premises of the High Court.
In this regard, two FIRs have been registered in Mandi and Kullu districts.
Himachal Pradesh is one of the several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Kerala, Puducherry and Gujarat, who have similar email threats.
Police sources said, “Although all seven email patterns and mode were the same, one of the emails was sent through a separate handle. All emails were sent via virtual private network (VPN). A senior police officer said, “It is not necessary to register a separate FIR for each email of a uniform nature. Many complaints can be clubbed under the same cedar. We considered these emails as an opportunity to check our preparation and vigilance to deal with any immediate situation.”
