A month after announcing the date of the 16th census, the Center has opened up a tender for a two -year offset printing process for the printed printers prepared for the printing, schedule, schedule, form and instruction manual printing, binding and packaging.

Last month, the government formally announced that India’s 16th census would be held on 1 March 2027 as a reference date for most people of the country and will be determined on 1 October 2026 for snow-bounds and remote areas such as Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The census will include the first nationwide caste calculation since 1931.
The tender document states that Indian census is a demographics (population characteristics), economic activity, literacy and education, housing and domestic amenities, urbanization, fertility and mortality, fertility and mortality, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Tribes, Language, Religion, Migration, Disability and many other social-cultural and democratic data.

On Monday, India’s Registrar General and Census Commissioner said on X, the census will be held in two phases. “Charan first; Census of housewife and housing will start from April 2026, and Phase Do; Population Census. Census 2027 will be the first digital census in the country and Data will be collected using mobile apps – Both Android and iOS – in English, Hindi and regional languages. Enumerators/ supervisors will use their own mobile devices for data collection, ”the post said.
