Center issue notification for census in 2027

The Union Home Ministry issued a Gazette notification on Monday, which announced that the census would be done in 2027.

“In the practice of powers provided by Section 3 of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948), and in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs (Office of Registrar General, India), in the notification of the Government of India, 1455 (E), 26 March 2019 was published in India’s gazette, which was published in India’s gazet Section, section, section 3, section 3, section, section, section 3, section 3, respect or abandoned before such supersation, the Central Government announced that a census of India’s population would be taken during the year 2027, ”said a notification by Registrar General and Census Commissioner Mritunjay Kumar Narayan.

The final census was held in 2011. The 2027 census will include the first nationwide caste calculation since 1931.

A day before the notification was issued, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday reviewed the preparation of the upcoming census along with Govind Mohan, the Home Secretary of the Union of North Delhi and other senior officials.

“The census will be held in two phases. Phase an IE IE Hoselisting Operation (HL), the habitat, property and facilities of each house will be collected. Next, in the second phase, IE Population Calculation (PE), demographic, socio-economic, cultural and other details of each individual will be collected.”

According to the statement, about 34 lakh enumerators and supervisors and about 1.3 lakh census officials will be deployed for exercise. The statement said, “This census is the 16th census and 8th census after independence.
