CJI Gawai is upset after the lawyer leaving justice from Justice: 'Is she your friend?' , Bharat News

India’s Chief Justice Bra Gavai on Monday took an exception to a petitioner who addressed Justice Yashwant Verma of the High Court of Allahabad, who was caught in a dispute after discovering unaccounted funds from his official residence in his last name.

CJI Gavai gave her a vent to her displeasure because Advocate Matthews J. Nedampara filed a petition against Justice Verma for registration of the first information report (FIR) on cash recovery. Demanding an immediate hearing of his petition, the Nedampara said before the bench, including Justice Vinod Chandran, “This is the third writ petition I am filing.”

“If you want it to be rejected now, I will reject it now.” However, Nedampara said, “It is impossible to dismiss. The FIR will have to be registered.”

Nedampara said, “I don’t think greatness may apply to him. The case has to be listed.”

The CJI warned him, “Don’t tell the court what to do.”

“No, I am only requesting,” Nedampara replied.
