Nearly one and a half months after announcing class 10 and 12 board results, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Friday announced the names of the top ten rank for class 10 and 12 examinations. A total of 25 students secured the top ten posts in class 10 examinations, while 20 students found themselves in the top ten in class 12 examinations.
TBSE announced the results of class 10 and class 12 board examinations on April 30, with 86.53% and 79.29% pass percentage respectively.
Chairman of the Board, Dr. Dhananjoy Gaan Chaudhary said that Joydip Rudra Paul from PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School secured a total of 493 marks in humanities and secured first place in class 12 examination. Later, announcing the toppers in class 10, TBSE Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey said that Antariksha Paul of Belonia Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School secured 490 points.
The merit list was announced after the review of northern scripts and the self-inspection process. The State Board of Education is announcing its top ten merit list at the time of announcing the board results for two years, as the top ten ranks are often tilted to dramatically after the review process.
At the TBSE office on Friday at the TBSE office, Chaudhary said, “Examination copies were completed on April 22 and the results of both class 10 and 12 were announced on 30 April. Now the pass percentage of class 10 is above 87% and 81% for class 12.”

He said that the second place in the class 12 examination was obtained by Saptadipa Nath from the Higher Secondary School of PM Shri Dharmanagar Government. He scored 492 points in the science stream. PM Shri Jolaibari Mm Girls Hiter Secodear School from Eshita Sen and Prachaya Bharati Hiter Secodyar School to Rakteem Debnath from Rakteem Debnath, with a total of 490 marks in humanities.
Tanusri Saha from Kalamchova Higher Secondary School scored 489 marks in the humanities stream to achieve the fourth position.

Anamika Debnath (Humanities) from ICHARBIL Higher Secondary School, Kriti De (Science) from Belonia Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School, Arnab Basak (Science) from Sabroom Higher Secondary School and PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School Tapas Day (Humanities) scored a total of 488 marks.
Trisha Das, a student of humanities from Palatana Higher Secondary School, secured a total of 487 marks and secured sixth position.
Swarnali Debnath (Science) from PM Shri Dharamnagar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Trisha Paul (Humanities) from Hrishnikukh Higher Secondary School and Tanya Khatun (Humanities) from Laxmichra Ramakrishna Higher Secondary School got a total of 486 points to finish seventh.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Higher Secondary School from Deepa Sarkar, Avangchara Higher Secondary School from Mitu Nath, Gandhigram Higher Secondary School Reshmi Roy and PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School got a total of 485 marks. They are all from humanities stream.

Deblina Debnath from Ganni Higher Secondary School and PM Shri Kamini Kumar Singha Memorial Higher Secondary School got ninth place (484 marks, humanities). Priya Saha from Shalagara Higher Secondary School secured tenth place (483 points, humanities).
TBSE Secretary Dey said that among the students of class 10, the second place was obtained by Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir’s Indrani Bhowik, who scored 489 runs. Sumit Debnath from Vivekananda Shishu Niketan and Amit Das from Netaji Subhash Vidyyanican finished third with 488.
Deepji Paul of Mirza Higher Secondary School secured fourth place (486 points). The fifth place was obtained by Aniran Debnath from Panisagar Holi Cross School, Ish Dutta from Sachand Higher Secondary School, Bishal Sen from Pilk Public School, Edhrit Ghosh from Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan and Tulika Chaudhary from Shankaracharya Vidyatan Girls School (485 Marks).
Priyam Debnath from Tulamura Higher Secondary School, Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School from Bintak Sikh Niketan and Deepshikha Karmakar secured sixth place (484 marks). Debjit Sarkar of Anand Maraga High School secured seventh place (483 marks).

Bithi Singh from PM Shri Badyardi Higher Secondary School, Deep Joy Sutradhar from Vivekananda Sheshu Niketan, Cornili Debbarma from Tiparah Academy and Debbie Sen from PM Shri Sekkot Higher Secondary School got eighth place (482 marks).
Netaji Subhash was Vivekananda Shishu Niketan from Vidyayatan and Drishti Debnath and Mrnamaye Deb were in the ninth place (481 points) from Anims Biswas.
PM Shri Dharamnagar government’s higher secondary school, Amartya Das and Hishtita Purkastha, Tripuraswari Sishu Tirath and Anirban Chakravarti from Vivekananda Shishu Niketan, Anareti Purkayastha secured tenth place (480 marks).
Speaking about the ‘Bochor Bachao’ (Save the Year) examination, Dey said that a total of 2,995 students of class 12 are to appear for the exam, and 1,851 forms were presented, while in terms of class 10, a total of 3,155 students have been slated to appear for the exam, and 1782 forms have been presented.

“Today is the last date to submit the form for the Bochor Bachao exams. After submitting the form, we will start processing. Bochor Bachao exams will start from June 30,” Dey said.
This year a total of 29,670 candidates appeared in the medieval examination, including 13,861 boys and 15,809 girls. This year, the number of candidates taking the matriculation-level board examination has come down by 33,739 last year.
Of the 21,506 candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, 9,920 are boys and 11,586 girls. Last year, 25,350 students appeared for higher secondary examinations.
