A police constable died and three others were injured after being hit by a fast SUV on the Atal Path in Patna during a regular vehicle investigation late Wednesday night.
According to the police, the accident occurred between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm when Sri Krishna Puri police station personnel were operating a vehicle-carrier, stopping the service lane on the Atal Path. While inspecting a car, an SUV that was coming from Digha at a high speed collided with it, pushed the vehicle into another, which was being investigated, said Patna SSP Holiday Kumar.
Sources said the effect put a female constable on a divider, while two sub-protections suffered significant injuries, the sources said. Police said another person was also injured in the collision.

The SSP said the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where “the policeman was later declared dead”.
Patna SSP said, “When the vehicle fell into a rapidly growing car under police inspection, the officers were killed, when two residents of Scorpio were arrested, the police were arrested.
The police is interrogating the persons for the lead lead and is also investigating whether the vehicle, including the driver, was under the influence of the liquor.
