On the lines of recent practice in Bihar from the ruling camp for amending voter rolls in Tripura, former Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said on Thursday that the combination of RSS-BJP was trying to expose the attacks on the constitution and amend it with Muslim, anti-anti-protest, and anti-feast.
The government said, “Common people are not saying this; only RSS-BJP is saying. If someone speaks Bengali, they are called Bangladeshi … People of Muslim community, if they speak in their mother tongue, Bengali, how can they become Bangladeshi?”
When asked about his taking on the issue of smart electricity meter, he said, “The BJP protested against the establishment of a smart meter by the Trinmool Congress in Bengal. The same BJP is trying to install a smart meter in Tripura. There was no problem with the existing machines. After the installation of the smart meter, people are receiving electricity bills.
On Thursday, the government also participated in the Governor House organized by the fishermen’s union in March 1. The rally concluded near the Circuit House, where the government and other left leaders addressed the gathering. Later, the six -member delegation met the Governor and presented a memorandum which included 13 demands.
The 13-point charter of demands was stated as “relevant, logical and time”, the government emphasized on protecting the interests of the fishermen’s community by attaining self-sufficiency in fish production.

“Even though importing fish can meet people’s demands here, but crores of money are going outside the state to import these items. We have to bring imports to zero in stages …” The government said.
The government said, “We appealed to the governor to draw the Chief Minister’s attention to these demands.”
