Family on tour for Eid, engineers living in Doha: 5 Keralas killed in Kenya Road Missap | Bharat News

The Eid ceremony, a woman and her child’s part as part of a woman and her daughter, and an engineer, who last visited Kerala for six months ago – were five Keralas who were killed in a Monday road accident in Kenya.

In Mannur village of Palakkad, 41 -year -old Riya N, when an accident occurred, she was traveling with her husband Jol Joseph and her two minor children. While Riya and her 8 -year -old daughter Tyra died, Hoody and her 12 -year -old son Travis were hurt.

Ov Swaminathan, a family friend, said that Hoody worked with a trip and tourism firm in Doha, while Riya was working there with an airline maintenance firm. Joyal and Travis are described as stable and are currently undergoing treatment.

He said, “He was planning to come home next month. The tour was part of the Eid ceremony and according to his program, he was to return to Qatar on June 10. Riya’s mother Shanti spoke to his daughter a few hours before the accident. He was returning to the hotel when the accident took place,” he said.

It was only last month that Muhammad Hanifa, a chartered accountant in Doha, was for Thrissur in relation to his father’s treatment. Although Hanifa survived the accident and is currently being treated, his wife Jesna, 29 and his one and a half year old daughter Ruhi Mehrin did not.

His neighbor Poronima Mohan in Thrissur says, “Both the families of Jessna and Muhammad have been settled in the Middle East for many years.”

57 -year -old Geeta Shoji Isaac was in Kenya with husband Shoji and son Abel.

From Cherukol near Mavelikkara in Alappuzha, the couple were engineers living in Doha for three decades and visited Kerala only six months ago.

“His son, Abel Shoji Isaac is also an engineer and working in Doha. Another son Joel is a doctor in Kerala. After the tragedy, Shoji’s brother Ajit, who was in the UAE, reached Nairobi,” says Shoji’s cousin Booban.

Arrangements are being made to send the dead bodies back to Kerala.
