A tribunal in Jammu and Kashmir has organized a “discriminatory” as a government notification, making Urdu mandatory for Naib Tehsildar, which considers 2020 from candidates with the knowledge of candidates with candidates with candidates with knowledge of five official languages in Jammu and Kashmir official languages.

The decision of the Central Administrative Tribunal came behind a petition filed by the job seekers, who were suffering from the order of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on the application for the position of Naib Tehsildar. Five official languages of J&K include Hindi, Urdu, English, Kashmiri and Dogri.

In its notification on 9 June for 75 revenue posts, JKSSB specified that the examination paper two would include the candidate’s “working knowledge of Urdu”.

Significantly, almost all revenue records and land settlements in Jammu and Kashmir are in Urdu, and as Naib Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, this language is expected to be well aware of this language.

In its order, a cat bench consisting of members (judicial) Rajinder Dogra and Ram Mohan Joha (Member Administrative) said: “We are of the idea that the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Revenue (Subordinate) are officially recruited of 2009, especially as dissection, especially dissected, dissected, language act, 2020”.

This came after the counsels for the applicants, with Senior Advocate Abhinav Sharma, Advocate Abhirsh Sharma gave his arguments in the court. The UT was represented by Additional Advocate Jalails (AAGS) Rajesh Tappa and Sudesh Magotra, besides deputy egg Hunar Gupta.

“This court is compulsory as a minimum qualification for the post of Naib Tehsildar as an innovar as a graduate with Urdu knowledge of 2009 Jammu and Kashmir Revenue (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules of 2009, as the minimum qualification for the post of Naib Tehsildar is compulsory as the minimum qualification,” the bench issued a notice to the response to give his answer within four weeks.

The case has been settled for August 13.
