When the House organized again in the afternoon, Ghoshham Tiwari, who was presiding over the proceedings, said: “On July 22, while stating about a notification, has expressed immediate effect of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar under Article 67A of the Constitution with immediate effect.” The house was then postponed till 2 pm as the opposition continued the protest.

Reacting to the post of PM, Congress MP and in-charge in communication, Jairam Ramesh said that the PM’s “non-post” has only added the mystery of his sudden exhaust “for the forced resignation of Dhankhar. He said on X, “Surely the PM can be a little more kind – he is, finally, is the highest guru of hypocrisy. Kisanputra is also being denied a dignified farewell,” he said on X.

In a separate post, Ramesh said that Dhankhar’s resignation “speaks excessively about him” and “also speaks bad about those who had chosen him as VP”.
Describing Dhankhar’s resignation as an “unprecedented step”, Ramesh said: “He has given reasons for health. He should be respected. But it is also a fact that there are very deep reasons for his resignation.”
CPI’s P Sandosh Kumar said that the resignation of Dhankhar shows “the mysterious BJP works”. He said, “This shows how the BJP treats people in the highest offices.
