A court in Shillong on Thursday extended police custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi and her lover Raj Kushwaha for two days, while three hitmen who allegedly killed Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi were sent to 14-day judicial remand.
Raghuvanshi and his wife went to “missing” on May 23, honeymoon in the Sohra area of Meghalaya. His highly disintegrated body was found in a gorge on 2 June.
Raj and three Hitman – Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) – were arrested from various parts of UP and Madhya Pradesh, after which Sonam surrendered to the police in connection with the murder of her husband.
On June 11, the court of Judicial Magistrate Don Kitbor Koshi Misil allowed five accused police custody, who were brought to the state on transit remand.
Earlier in the day, five accused were rushed to Shillong Civil Hospital, where their medical tests were conducted.
