In the house panel, why no FIR after seizure at the judge's residence Bharat News

Judges from judges who participated in ideological meetings to demand an FIR against Justice Yashwant Verma, to not follow the code of conduct, the Parliamentary Committee on personnel, public grievances, laws and justice discussed several issues in a meeting on Tuesday.

Among the most asked questions by the committee members was that an FIR was not registered against Justice Yashwant Verma following allegations of cash being found at his official residence.

After the fire on 14 March, cash was found at Justice Verma’s residence in Delhi. Justice Verma was inspired by the in-house inquiry on 8 May. The government has started the process of bringing an impeachment motion against Justice Verma during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament.

It is discovered that a member also suggested that the 1991 decision in the ‘Ki Veerwamy vs Union of India’ case should be rebuilt and if the judges are involved in the wrongdoings, they should face a cedar. The Secretary of the Department of Justice has learned that the members of the panel have been told that it will be returned about the demand for an FIR against Justice Verma.

The issue of Justice Shekhar Yadav of Allahabad High Court against whom Rajya Sabha members have also run an impeachment notice. A member wanted to know what action was taken by CJI against Justice Yadav.

In December last year, Justice Yadav, a sitting judge of the Allahabad High Court, made suspicious remarks on Muslim marriage practices and supported the uniform civil code (UCC) while speaking at a VHP event. A notice of impeachment was presented by 54 Rajya Sabha MPs against Judicial Yadav.

In a committee meeting chaired by BJP MP Bridge Lal on Tuesday, another member said that the judges should cool during a five -year period after retirement, during which they should not be allowed to take any kind of job or work, or political assignment or competition election.

Another member also suggested an increase in the retirement age of the judges and should get better salary and pension.

The agenda of Tuesday’s meeting was to discuss the code of conduct for the judges of the High Judge.
