Defense sources said the Singapore-Flagded cargo ship riding on the ship’s fire operation, which caught fire from Mumbai from Mumbai on the coast on Saturday morning, said defense sources said.

The vessel – MV Van Hai 503 – has been taken 40 natical miles away from the ground. Earlier, the ship was 27 knots from the ground, he said.

According to a defense statement, the toking operation was launched with a deadly helicopter from the Southern Naval Command, which was dropping the Salveers to move the Tow cable to the tug vessels from the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ships.

“Rope operations have begun. Due to heavy weather, the towing speed is limited to 1.5 knots,” it said.

“ICG ships are saving the osv triton liberty rope vessels in Saksham, Samarth, Vikram, and Ship Sharda.

On Thursday, the Directorate General of Shipping said that 40 percent of the fire was brought under control.

Out of 22 crew members on the ship, 18 were rescued, while four are missing.
