It is expected to be, serve Tibetan beings for 30-40 years: Dalai Lama. Bharat News

The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama said on Saturday that he expects to stay for another 30 to 40 years, until he turns 130, the Gaden Fodrang Trust will be “fully responsible” to find his rebirth after the days. He turned 90 on Sunday.

“I hope that I will still survive for more than 30 or 40 years. Your prayers have produced fruits till now … we have lost our country and we live in exile in India. But, I have been able to benefit the creatures (Tibet’s) greatly. Therefore, I am interested to live here in Dharamasala, I can serve the living beings and religion.” He was speaking at a prayer ceremony before his 90th birth anniversary at Tsugalgkhang, the main Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj.

On July 2, the Dalai Lama announced the “Dalai Lama’s institution will continue”, and his Ganden Fodrang Trust in the Dalai Lama’s office would “fully responsible” to find his rebirth.

The Tibetan Sarkar-in-Axil has organized a week-long series to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Dalai Lama. Long-life prayers were introduced by his followers, Kashag (Council of Ministers), Central Tibetan Administration (Tibetan Sarkar-in-X-Axil). The ceremony is considered a preamble for the celebration of a year -long ‘year of compassion’, which highlights the cultural and traditional heritage of Tibetans.

Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, Hollywood actor and International Campaign President Richard Gere for Tibet (ICT), Richard Gere, many Indians as well as US government diplomats, senior lamas, all four Tibetan Buddhawad schools, who were among the Ceremyis.

Earlier, the Dalai Lama arrived in the temple courtyard from his private residence in a golf cart. Hundreds of Buddhist monks, followers and tourists of Tibetan Buddhism insisted at the Tsugalgkhang temple to catch a glimpse of a spiritual leader.

The Dalai Lama said that ever since he was a child, he had realized that he had a strong relationship with Avalokiteshwara. “Looking at many predictions, I think I have the blessings of Avalokiteshwara … Today, here we have deities, and are representatives of gods, and humans are gathering auspicious circumstances for their long life … I am able to serve the creatures of Buddha religion and Tibet and still I hope to live for more than 130 years.

On this occasion, the Dalai Lama also met Chinese leader Mao Zedong.

On Sunday, the Dalai Lama will participate in a public event organized by Kashag on behalf of all Tibetan people and will address the gathering.
