Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is traveling to France and Belgium from 8 to 14 June after visiting Germany. The visit is important because a multi-party political delegation visited France and Belgium to support canvas to India’s stand on Pakistan-provided terrorism.
Jaiskar will first visit Paris and then Marsile.
During the visit, he will travel to Paris and Marsile, where he will hold bilateral discussions with his French equivalent minister and France’s foreign affairs, in addition to being engaged with the country’s senior leadership. He will also participate in the inaugural edition of the Mediterranean Raisina Dialogue which is being held in the city of Marsile.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that India and France have completed 25 -year strategic partnership. “Our relations with France are inherent in deep confidence and commitment, and both our countries closely collaborate in all domains of strategic and contemporary relevance, in addition to sharing the same approach on many regional and global issues,” a statement says.
In the second phase of the journey, he will travel to Brussels. Here he will interact with the European Union along with the Belgian counterparts.

During the journey, Jaishankar will hold a strategic conversation with the European Union’s high representative and vice -president Kaza Kalas, and will attach to the European Commission and the European Parliament with the senior leadership.
Mea’s statement said: “The India-European Union Strategic Partners have strengthened over the years in various fields and have taken a major edge with the first visit of the European Union’s College of Commissioners in February this year.”

During his visit to Belgium, he will organize bilateral consultation with Deputy Prime Minister and Belgian Foreign Minister, Maxim Prevot and also meet the senior leadership of Belgium. He will interact with members of the Indian community.
“India and Belgium share warm and friendly relations with a very strong economic partnership. Today cooperation between the two countries spreads various domains with people such as business and investment, green energy, technology, pharmaceutical, diamonds and strong people,” the MEA said.
The ministry said that EAM’s visit is expected to deepen India’s friendly relations. European UnionFrance and Belgium and diverse fields give fresh speed for cooperation.
Jaishankar visited UK Foreign Secretary David Lammi On Saturday, and said that India follows the policy of “zero tolerance against terrorism” and expects its colleagues to understand that Delhi will never “count” the equality of criminals and victims. This message will also be conveyed to counterparts in Belgium and France. This was the first visit by a P -5 country to India from a P -5 country after an enmity last month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Canada for the G7 Leaders Summit on 15-17 June. He will meet his counterparts from France, Germany, UK and the European Union during the journey.
