Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge attacked the Modi government on the flood situation in the northeastern states on Monday, and hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would open his PM Cars Fund’s flood attacks, where he claimed that he would lie without any audit.
Referring to Assam, he said that PM Modi had promised to make the state flood-free in 2016, but it seems that BJP’s double engine governments have cheated Assam.
In a post on X, he said that the northeast is running again under disastrous floods, landslides and heavy rains.
Assam, Arunachal, Manipur, Sikkim and Meghalaya are among the most affected states, where many people have lost their lives and millions of people have been affected, they saw.
He said that Congress leaders and workers should do everything to provide support to the people.

“In 2016, the BJP promised to create a ‘flood-free’ Assam. In 2022, the Home Minister, Amit Shah reiterated the promise.
Kharge said in his post, “Looking at the scenes from the so -called ‘Smart City’ Guwahati, one is reminded how Modi ji and his double engine governments have cheated Assam.”

The Congress chief said, “From basic developmental issues to emotional and polarization subjects, the turn, distraction and digestive have been identified by BJP politics.”
He said that the Modi government should release more funds to all the northeastern states, especially for the preparations for the flood.
Kharge swipe into the PM and said, “Perhaps Modi ji could open the funds of PM Care Fund, out of which crores of lies, without any public audit.”
Flood situation In the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh are serious after heavy rains in many parts.
Ten people have been killed in the floods in Assam so far and more than four lakh people have been affected in more than 20 districts, with seven major rivers.

The situation is likely to increase for people living in areas of state and neighboring areas and people living in areas of river banks due to continuous heavy rains.
