The Lok Sabha proceedings were interrupted for the second day in one line on Tuesday amid an uproar over the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar.

Subsequently, the opposition members gathered at the Makar gate of Parliament and protested, raised slogans and caught the placards.
As soon as the proceedings resumed in the afternoon, Jagdamika Pal took the chair and allowed to be kept on the table for papers, even the opposition members continued to protest against the House’s well and continued the protest demanding discussion on the head. Pal said that the speaker had received a stay notice from some members, but no one has been allowed.

However, opposition members continued to shout slogans.
Pal said before postponing the House by 2 pm, “Instead of showing the placard, submit your proposals and resolutions, and the speaker will give time … The government will give an answer. You are forcing you to postpone the house.”
As soon as the House started the proceedings at 2 pm, Dilip Saikia also took the chair as opposition MPs continued their protest. Saikia requested MPs to take their seat and assured that all issues would be discussed.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “It was decided in the BAC that there would be a discussion on Operation Sindoor first. The time was set. Do you want to discuss all the issues together? How is it possible? I condemn how to protest with placards on every other issue. They are ready for it. They are ready for it. Engineer by Congress and some other parties.”
Saikia said that such disruptions were against the spirit of democracy, and then postponed the House for the day.
