Meet Lammy, Jaishankar: Trade to Terror, India and UK flag deep relations. Bharat News

After visiting UK Foreign Secretary David Lammi on Saturday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India follows the policy of “zero tolerance against terrorism” and expects its colleagues to understand that Delhi will never “count” the equality of criminals and victims.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also met Lammi, said: “Pleased with Britain’s Foreign Secretary Shri David Lummi, he appreciates his significant contribution in our widespread strategic partnership, strengthened by the recently ended FTA. Cross-border support against terrorism, value for India’s fight against UK.”

This is the first visit by a Foreign Minister for India from the P -5 country after the enmity of India -Pakistan last month. Lammy visited Islamabad on 16 May when she welcomed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Jaishankar said: “Thank the United Kingdom government for strong condemnation of barbaric terrorist attack in Pahgam in the center region of Jammu and Kashmir and for your solidarity and support for India in the fight against terrorism.

Jaishankar said that the recent conclusion of the Indo-UK FTA and the double contribution conference is “actually a milestone”, which will not only inspire two-way trade and investment, but “will have a positive impact on other strategic aspects of our bilateral relations, it will also contribute to strengthening supply and price chains”.

He said that Technology Safety Initiative (TSI) will enable intensive cooperation in strategic technology sectors of AI, semiconductor, telecom, quantum, healthc/ bio-tech, important minerals and advanced materials.

Both sides have also launched strategic exports and technology cooperation dialogues that will increase TSI’s effectiveness in promoting trade in important and emerging technologies, including resolving relevant licensing or regulatory issues.

He also said that the UK-India Infrastructure Financial Bridge “can unlock the quality long-term capital flow from the United Kingdom to India”, and that “will definitely contribute to the development of our infrastructure”.

“There is great cooperation in the education sector with many more universities, I believe that India is planning to establish its complexes, and in front of people’s relations with people, we got privileges-I got themselves respect-to open two new consulates in Mainchester and Belfast.”

According to the British High Commission, increasing economic and migration relations and providing opportunities for British businesses topped the Lammy’s agenda.

“The journey follows the historic free trade agreement between the two countries and will fulfill this government’s commitment to promote jobs and prosperity. The new deal with India is expected to increase more than £ 25 billion every year, it is expected to increase in more than £ 25 billion, UK GDP £ 4.8 billion, and every year £ 2. 2.2 billion wages, returning money for workers.

Lammy said: “India was one of my first visits as Foreign Secretary, and has been an important partner in the distribution of our plan since then. “Signing a free trade agreement is the beginning of our ambitions – we are creating a modern partnership with India for a new global era. We want to go ahead to promote a even more intimate relationship and when we support this development, promoting innovative technology, dealing with climate crisis and providing our migration priorities, and supporting our people.”

The journey comes as some top trade leaders in India, supporting the trade deal that will increase trade and investment opportunities between the UK and India. It also comes beyond the launch of the modern industrial strategy of the UK, called London, will make it faster, easy and cheaper to trade in the UK.

On May 2, the UK and India signed a new UK-India program of cultural cooperation to promote cooperation in art and culture, creative industries, tourism and sports areas. The agreement will open a door to increase Britain’s creative exports to India and enable more partnership between UK and Indian museums and cultural institutions, which will help in increasing the soft power of the UK.

In April, in the 13th UK-India Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD), the UK Chancellor REVS welcomed the £ 400M trade and investment victory to promote British and Indian economy and provide economic growth and security for working people.

Lammi visited India on his first official visit as Foreign Secretary in July last year, when he announced the TSI.
