Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case Latest News: The Uttar Pradesh Police said on Tuesday that Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is the main suspect in the murder of her newly married husband Raja Raghuvanshi and who was found in a roadside restaurant in Gazipur district of the state, claimed that she would not know how she had reached Gazipur as she was as drugs.
The 28 -year -old Raja, and Sonam, who belongs to Indore in Madhya Pradesh, were reported missing in May during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, and his body was found earlier this month. The body of Raja Raghuvanshi was found with a weapon of a murder, a week later, the police arrested three people from Madhya Pradesh. And Sonam surrendered.
On Monday, the crime branch of Madhya Pradesh Police told The Indian Express He suspected Raj Kushwaha that he was allegedly with the help of Sonam on the killing of the king. He said that 21 -year -old Kushwaha planned to kill the king a few days after the couple’s marriage.
Police said they are now collecting CCTV footage from the area around the restaurant, from where 24 -year -old Sonam called her family on Monday. After receiving the information, a police team participated and caught him.
A senior police officer said, “The woman claimed that she had no idea how she ended in the dhaba of Gazipur, and did not know who brought her there. The police installed CCTV footage close to the dhaba to verify their claims.”
The official said that the local people and the owner of the Dhaba said that the woman had come there alone, and was alert.
Sources said that till now, the police have not found any evidence to suggest that someone else brought him to the dhaba.

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Amitabh Yash said that the UP Police expanded all possible assistance to its Meghalaya counterparts on requesting.
According to the police, Sonam Raghuvanshi reached Kashi Dhaba in Nandganj area of Gazipur at around 2.30 am on Monday morning, and asked the owner for a phone that he sought a phone to call his family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She told the owner that she had a fever and wants to inform her family.
Sonam Then made a video call to his cousin And told her that she was in a dhaba in Gazipur. After the call, his cousin quickly informed the Indore police, who gave a message to his counterparts in UP. The UP police again reached the place.
Meanwhile, feeling something unusual, the owner also called the police control room to report his appearance. A team of Nandganj police station in Ghagpur immediately reached the spot.

Sonam Raghuvanshi revealed his identity to the police, but refused to share any further details. She said that she was suffering from fever, the police took her to the hospital for medical check-up. She was later transferred to a one-stop center, a feature that provides temporary shelter and support to women affected by violence.
In the afternoon, a team of Meghalaya Police reached Gazipur, approached the court, and received a three -day transit remand.
