Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the growing cooperation between India and Brazil in defense is “a symbol of a deep mutual trust” and there is a similar thinking on the fight against terrorism in the two countries – “zero tolerance and zero double standards”.
After meeting PM Modi, Brazilian President Luiz Eneasio Lula Da Silva said on Tuesday that his country’s purpose with India has to be a triple trade flow from $ 12 billion to $ 12 billion in the last year “in short -term” $ 12 billion trading flows, without giving more specific time limit.

Modi said that artificial intelligence and cooperation in supercomputers are also increasing. “This is a proof of our general thinking of inclusive development and human-focused innovation.
Saying that cooperation in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry is decades old, he said, “Now we will also work together on agricultural research and food processing. We are also increasing our victory and winning cooperation in the field of health. We emphasized the expansion of Ayurveda and traditional medicine in Brazil.”
Calling President Lula a “Chief architect of the Indo-Brazilian strategic partnership”, he said, “We have targeted to take bilateral trade to $ 20 billion in the coming five years.

“Football is the passion of Brazil, cricket is the passion of the people of India. Whether the ball crosses the border, or scores a goal, when both are in the same team, 20 billion partnership is not difficult. We will also work together to expand the Indo-Markosur preference trade agreement.”
The PM said that cooperation in the field of energy is continuously increasing. Modi said, “The main priorities of both environment and clean energy are the main priorities. PM Modi was honored on Tuesday with the Grand Collar of Brazilian’s highest civilian award, National Order of the Southern Cross.
The honor was presented by President Lula in recognition of PM Modi’s remarkable contribution to strengthen bilateral relations and increase India-Brazil cooperation in major global platforms.
This is the fourth stop of PM Modi in a visit to five countries, in which he visited Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina and Brazil. He will visit Namibia before returning to Delhi.
