Six people, including three family members, were arrested in connection with the murder of 24 -year -old Tripura youth, whose body was found to be stuffed in a trolley bag, was sent to police custody by the West Tripura District Civil Judge in Agartala on Thursday.
Many people gathered in the court premises, in which the accused was strictly decorated – Dr. Dibakar Saha, 28, his father Deepak Saha, 52, Mother Debika Saha, 40, Nabnita Das, 25, Joydeep Das, 20 and Animesh Yadav, 21 – who were arrested on Wednesday.
The suitcase, which included the body parts of Shirful Islam, was stored inside an ice cream freezer in Gandachara in Dhalai district of Tripura, disappeared from Afartala about three days later.
The police maintained strict vigilance during the court proceedings to prevent any untoward incident as people raised slogans against the accused.
West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar told indianexpress.com that all the six people are interrogating the police officers at a safe place.
“The case is almost crack. We have learned a lot of details. We have found a lot of digital evidence, including text messages on mobile phones that prove the participation of all the accused individuals. Some more details can come in question. All conclusions will be produced in court.”
According to preliminary investigation, the purpose of murder is Islam, Dr. Dibakar and Dr. There was a collapse of a triangular love affair associated with Dibakar’s cousin.

According to Kiran Kumar, Islam Dr. Dibakar went to meet Saha as per his invitation with some gifts in South Indranagar. It is learned that the doctor allegedly strangled the man at home in the presence of Joydeep, Animesh and Nabamita, who Dr. Dibakar is a friend.
On 9 June, a missing complaint was lodged by Shaful’s family at the new Capital Complex Police Station.
According to the police, Dr. Dibakar’s mother was also involved in taking the dead body to Gandhachara.
