The Navy has been designed to commission its latest Stealth Multi-Roll Frigate Tamal on 1 July in Kaliningrad, Russia, which is at the eighth in the series of Cruel Class Frigates included from Russia in the last two decades.
Under the command of the Tamal Western Navy, the western fleet will join the ‘sword arm’ of the fleet, and the second ship of the Tashil class is – their predecessors, swords and advanced versions of tag classes.

According to the Navy, the construction of Tamal was closely supervised by an Indian team of experts of the team overseeing the warship posted in Kalingrad under the aegis of the Embassy of India. The Navy said that Tamal is built at the Yantra Shipyard in Kalinigrad and is the ultimate warship to be included from a foreign source in view of India’s push to become self -sufficient in defense. The warship consists of 26% indigenous components, including a Brahmos long -range cruise missile to target both the sea and the land.

Other indigenous systems include surface monitoring radar complex and Humsa NG MK II Sonar, which are accompanied by antimarine weapons firing complex between other weapons and sensors.

According to the Navy, the crew involved in more than 250 personnel has undergone harsh shelters and shameless training in challenging the winter conditions of St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
Tamal has completed comprehensive marine tests done in three months, the Navy said.
