In a rapidly stated response, India has clearly dismissed the “supplementary award” described as the “illegally formed so -called court of arbitration” in Jammu and Kashmir.
On June 27, the five-point statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs calls the panel a “fabricated arbitration system” at the behest of Pakistan and says that India considers all its announcements “illegal and zero”. The ministry said that the treaty is currently due to continuous support for terrorism across the border of Islamabad and it has been said that India is not yet bound by its obligations until Pakistan completely ends all terrorist infrastructure.
Here are the five major points made by India:
1. ‘Court of mediation’ is illegal
India said the so -called court was formed in the “Brezen violation” of the Indus Water Treaty, making its existence and decisions “illegal and zero”.
“Indus Waters Treaty 1960, an illegal court of alleged intermediaries, in violation of it, has issued about it, that it portrays as a ‘supplementary prize’ …”
2. India does not recognize the legal status of the panel
New Delhi reiterated that it has never recognized the legal status of the body and there is no validity of any action or award under international law.
“India has never recognized existence in the law of this so -called Court of Arbitration … Any action before this platform and any award or decision taken by it is also illegal and copy for that reason.”
India also suggests that the mediated body has no legal status and is a serious violation of the treaty.

3. Sandhi in Indus Water Treaty
India will have to renounce terrorism after the Pahalgam terror attack, exercising its sovereign rights, and re -starting any obligations, kept it in the treaty after the Pahgam terror attack.
“After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has kept the Indus Water Treaty in Abhay, until Pakistan reliably and irreversible ends its support for cross -border terrorism.”
India also emphasized that it is no longer bound by any obligations under the treaty until Pakistan ends the terror network.
4. Rejected all pronunciation
India maintained its strong position: It rejects all decisions by the court without exception.

“India, therefore, dismisses this so -called supplementary award clearly because it has dismissed all earlier announcements of this body.”
5. Pakistan’s ‘Charad’ and global deception
The Ministry of External Affairs called the mediation a “extreme” to divert attention from Pakistan as “the global subclass of terrorism”.
“At the behest of Pakistan, this latest climax is yet another frustrated attempt to avoid accountability for its role as the global subclass of terrorism … which is compatible with its decades-length patterns of international forums and manipulation of international forums.”
India also accused Pakistan of trying to misuse international legal platforms to avoid facing the consequences of alleged support of terrorism.

The Indus Water Treaty signed in 1960 controls the distribution of river water between India and Pakistan. India says it is kept “In cold storage” The Pahgam terrorist attack as a punitive response, which he discovered back in Pakistan. This has warned that all treaties will be suspended until Islamabad takes “reliable and irreversible” steps to prevent terrorism.
