Next-Jean Bullet Train to start together in India and Japan: Railways | Bharat News

The Railway Ministry said on Monday that the next generation Japanese Bullet Train-E10 Shinkinsen-will be introduced together in India and Japan.

The statement comes at a time when questions are being questioned on the delay in finalizing the purchase deal for the E5 Shinkinsen model, which is going to run on the corridor of India’s ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR).

“Japanese Shinkinsen (System) is currently running E5 trains. The next generation trains are E10. In the spirit of strategic partnership between Japan and India, the Japanese government has agreed to introduce E10 Shinkinsen trains in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. It is notable that E10 will be introduced together.”

The ministry claimed that there was no delay in the execution of the project and the test would be conducted as per Schedule in 2026-27.

Meanwhile, the integral coach factory of Indian Railways in Chennai has provided an tender to the state -run BEML Limited for the construction of two high -speed trainesets with a testing speed of 280 kmph, which will be similar to the Japanese bullet train.

The ministry said that the entire 508 km corridor is being developed with Shinkansen technology. Out of the total length, 465.38 km is being built on the viaducts – a bridge with a series of spans that are supported by pierce or towers.

On July 9, the first success was achieved in a 21-km tunnel, which is being constructed between Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Shilfeetta in Maharashtra, marking the successful completion of the 2.7 km section of the tunnel.

A five-kilometer tunnel is being excavated using the new Austrian tunling method (NATM) between Shilfeta and Ghanoli, while the remaining 16-km will be excavated using tunnel boring machines (TBMS).

The stretch of this tunnel also includes a 7 -km unde decree section under Thane Creek. Along with this, a total of 310 km of the total construction of a total of 310 km has also been completed.
