Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) Intial Investigation Report, Air India CEO and MD Campbell Wilson said on Monday that he does not mention any cause of the accident near Ahmedabad Airport on 12 June, and “issues of mechanical or maintenance with aircraft or engine” have not been found.
Each Boeing 787 fleet was investigated within the days of the accident and found to be fit for service, Wilson said, in a message to Air India employees on the airline’s “abundance of precautions”.
He said that all compulsory maintenance work including pilots was completed to clean the pre-state breath analyst. He said, “There was no issue with fuel quality and there was no abnormality with take-off rolls. The Air Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) on Saturday released its preliminary report on Air India’s Boeing 787–8 aircraft accident, killing 260 people on 12 June. The aircraft, which was operating the flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatvik, crashed into a building immediately after the takeoff.
Emphasizing that the preliminary report did not identify the cause nor any recommendation, Wilson urged everyone to avoid conclusions before all time as the investigation is not over.

“We will continue to cooperate with the investigators to ensure that they have everything they need to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation,” he said.
Furthermore, Wilson said that every Boeing 787 aircraft working in our fleet were tested within the accident days and all were found to be fit for service.
