Notice notice issued to 9 Air India on security violations in the last 6 months: Government | Bharat News

In the last six months, a total of nine shows were issued notices to Air India regarding five recognized security violations and enforcement action has been completed in relation to a violation, the Ministry of Civil Aviation informed the Rajya Sabha on Monday.

Last month, Air India’s Boeing 787–8 aircraft entered from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed soon after closing, killing 260 people. After the deadly accident, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered an additional investigation of the airline’s Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft. 81 people were injured in the accident.

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said in a written reply, “Out of a total of 33 aircraft operating aircraft have been inspected, with minor conclusions in 8 aircrafts.

He was answering a question of BJP member Ashokrao Shankarao Chavan.

Meanwhile, in a separate written reply, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol said that during the last six months, there was no adverse tendency in Air India’s reliability reports regarding crashed aircraft.

However, he said that during the last six months, a total of nine shows have been issued notices to Air India regarding five recognized security violations.

“Enforcement action is completed in relation to a violation,” Mohol said in response to CPI (M) member John Britis questions.

Specific details were not disclosed.

In another written reply, Mohol said that every aspect is being noted to determine the possible possible causes/contribution factors leading to the accident.

His answer was to include the questions of DMK leader Kanimozhi NVN Somu, including whether any sabotage by any person or any agency came to light.

In another written reply to RJD member Manoj Kumar Jha, Naidu said that the DGCA had a structured monitoring and audit structure.

These include regular and periodic audit, spot check, night monitoring and ramp inspection in all operators and maintenance organizations such as planned and unplanned monitoring of organizations /aircraft.

DGCA has taken 254 enforcement action till April this year, while 673 such action was taken in 2024. In 2023, 542 enforcement action was taken, the minister said.

Enforcement action may include warning, suspension, cancellation and implementation of financial penalty.

This year, the regulator has planned a total of 56 regulatory audit.
