Subsequently, a manhint was started to arrest the accused.
Berhampur SP Sarawana Vivek M said that four accused – all belonged to a village – they were arrested when they were trying to leave the state.

“One of the victims was in contact with an accused via his mother’s mobile phone. He wooed the victims in a separate place and gangraped them with his three friends for two days,” the SP said.
The police have recorded statements of the victims and sent them to the Child Welfare Committee for necessary consultation.
