An FIR has been filed against Nilagiri BJP MLA Santosh Khatua for his alleged derogatory remarks against BJD leader Lekhsari Samantasinghar.
An FIR has been lodged on the basis of a complaint filed by Lekhsri.
“Khatua has not only condemned me, but has given aspirations to all women political activists along with Odisha and every woman in India despite party affiliation. They have asked to be so low in their pronunciation that it is difficult on my side,” Lekhsri said that she was said to be unbearable choice for 2024.
In a post on X, Lekhsri urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against the BJP MLA.
Sharing a video, in which the MLA is using the “sexist slur”, Lekhsari wrote on X, “Dear Modi ji @Narandramodi, please hear his MLA from Odisha talking about female politicians.
Condemning the BJP MLA’s remarks, former Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik questioned the silence of the leaders of the ruling party.
“The attempt to publicly kill a woman’s character as a political response is a reflection of a perverted mentality and is aimed at suppressing the voice of women. It suggests that all women should be silent. The most disturbing aspect is the intense silence of BJP leaders. Such reprimands have not come forward to condemn the comments.
