As the police in Bihar began an intensive discovery for Nab 17 July murdered in Patna HospitalPrime suspected Tauseef Khan aka Badshah managed to escape in Kolkata and took advantage of an online service immediately for a clean haircut. Two days later, according to the investigators involved in the operation to nab them from the Kolkata guesthouse, the trick to change the appearance almost works.
Kolkata Police told the Indian Express on Tuesday, “When we caught him, he looked completely different; he had reduced his hair. He was not immediately recognizable.”
A few hours after Chandan Mishra, who was a criminal from Buxar, who was out on parole, was locked in Paras Hospital in Patna, CCTV footage entered his cabin – armed with Tusaf and his companions – guns, and emerged after a few minutes.
Once the police had footage in Bihar, images of suspects were sent to neighboring states to alert the police, as practice. And then the specific alert came: Tusaf was moving towards Kolkata.
West Bengal STF IG Gaurav Sharma said, “Bihar STF contacted us, stated that Tausif Khan and three other vehicles had routes to Kolkata, and gave us vehicle number.” The Bihar Police had received this important information from a woman whom she arrested.
With only registration numbers, West Bengal STF began to track the movement of the vehicle – based on the fastag and toll plaza data – because it crossed Jharkhand. Around 10.30 pm on July 17, before entering Kolkata, the vehicle was detected in West Bengal.
An important factor in successful operation was the use of automated number plate reading (ANPR) system. Sharma said, “This is a very advanced, special camera. The number plates captured by these cameras are clear, and using an algorithm, it provides obvious data, which makes the vehicle movement easier to find,” Sharma said.

Soon after his presence in Kolkata, several teams of Kolkata Police STF and Bengal STF were placed on high alert. By the morning of July 18, the police believed that the suspects would try to leave the city, inspired them to alert all toll plazas.
ACP Nesakumar said, “We identified a place through the sheer analysis technology, unpiritual. The car was in a residential area. There was a guest house.” However, the police identified Tausif’s cousin Nishu Khan, who was suffering from paralysis, said: “Tausif looked completely different, when he committed a crime.
Tauseeef, Nishu, and their caretaker rigid and Bhima, were arrested on 19 July.
He was taken to Patna on Monday after a two -day transit remand by the Alipore Court in Kolkata. After medical examinations, all were presented before the court in Patna. Patna police said, “While the three accused were sent to judicial custody, the Patna Police got remand for Tusif for three days, so that the case could be further questioned.”

Patna SSP Karthikeya Sharma said that investigation was going on to establish the motive behind Mishra’s murder.
Police arrested three more suspects on Tuesday – two of whom came to the hospital with Tausif – after a brief encounter in Bhojpur district of Bihar.
The encounter took place at around 5 pm along the Katiya Road under the boundary of Bihia police station when a joint team of Bihar STF and local police identified the three and ordered them to surrender. “The suspects responded to opening the fire, inspired by the police to retaliate. In the exchange, two of the two accused, Balwant Kumar Singh and Raviranjan Kumar Singh, continuous bullet injuries.
Police sources said that Balwant and Raviranjan were shooters who were with Tausif. Abhishek ran a motorcycle in which Balwant and Raviranjan fled the hospital after the murder.
