PM Modi welcomed Shubhanshu Shukla back to Earth: 'Inspeced A Billion Dreams'. Bharat News

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the return of Group captain Shubhinu Shukla from his historic space mission, calling it an inspiration for one billion dreams.

In a post on X (East Twitter), Modi said: “I joined the nation in welcoming Group captain Shubhun Shukla as I returned to Earth from my historic mission. India’s first astronaut has visited the international space station, inspired one billion dreams through his dedication, courage and leading spirit.”

The Prime Minister also added the achievement of India’s future space ambitions, called it another milestone “towards our own human space flight mission – Gaganan.”

Union Minister Jitendra Singh also praised Shukla’s return, in a post on X, he said: “India has really found a permanent place in the space world today.”

Group Captain Shukla, a pilot with the Indian Air Force, has become the second Indian to travel to space for the historic flight of Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma in 1984 – and the first Indian to visit the international space station of $ 150 billion.
