Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s pet project to present Raja Cobra in the state, a five -year -old male snake brought from Karnataka a few months ago, died on Wednesday at Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal.

A senior Van Vihar official said, “Male Raja Cobra was seen sedently on Wednesday morning. There were no external injuries on its body. Only a post -mortem report would highlight its death.” The Indian Express,

Similarly, when a king cobra selits on the ground, the other snakes run away from their hole, and the King Cobra hunts them … Since the King Cobra has disappeared, a district like Dindori, where I was a minister-in-charge, has seen the death of 200 snakes.”

After bringing the snake, wildlife authorities planned to introduce pre-Situ protection and breeding at Van Vihar. In May, one of the male king Cobras was sent to the Indore Zoo for a breeding program, which was attended by CM.

The same month, Yadav ordered a census of snakes in his kingdom, stating that the absence of conservation efforts had disappeared from Madhya Pradesh.
