The Meghalaya Police is carrying forward its investigation about the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, a team reached Indore on Wednesday, who questions the family of his accused wife Sonam Raghuvanshi.
Three officers visited Sonam’s house while talking with their mother and brother. After this visit, there was a stop at the Raja’s family’s house in the city a day earlier by the same police team.
Sonam’s brother, Govind said: “We have already told the truth to the police. If the Meghalaya Police has any doubt, they are free to investigate us. I am with my family, going with them, and I stand with their demand for narco test. I was called Shillong for inquiries, but there is no follow-up from the police.”
In the evening, the police team also inspected the flat of the main accused Raj Kushwaha.

Earlier, the police team visited Raja’s house, spoke to his mother, Uma and brothers, Sachin and Vipin Raghuvanshi. Six accused in this case were not brought to Indore by Meghalaya Police.
The team went to Raja’s family’s house in Sahkarnagar, the statements of relatives about Sonam’s behavior and their stay after marriage. Raja’s elder brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi confirmed the visit: “A three -member team of Meghalaya Police came to our house. They were there for half an hour and asked us about Sonam’s behavior. He also asked us how long he stayed with us after marriage.”

According to the police, Raja was first called ‘Dao’ locally, who was hired by Vishal Singh Chauhan, one of the three hitmen for crime. Sonam was allegedly present at a time and ran away when her husband started bleeding and shouted, only after returning after that time, he died of many blasts on her.
Three attackers, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi, were allegedly admitted by Sonam’s alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha. The murder took place in the secluded region near Wei Sodong Falls, especially due to its distance and lack of witnesses. The second Mache was discovered in the same gorge where the king’s body was dumped. It is believed that a white shirt, which belongs to the Akash Rajput and worn during the murder, was also found in the gorge.
