A 17 -year -old boy died of electrocution on Wednesday night, while a northern suburb in Chennai, walking through a hygienic road in Thiruvotiur, triggering the protests of the local residents, who accused the electricity department of negligence.
The victim was identified as Nafael, who was a class 12 students living on the Thungle Birbaiilwan Dharga Street, when they stepped into stable rainwater near the Thung Pir Pelwan Dargah and collapsed and collapsed. According to eyewitnesses, the locals used wooden logs and plastic pipes to take him out of the water. The boy was then taken to Stanley Government Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The road, he said, recently dug for laying concrete, during which an underground power cable was damaged.
The residents told The Indian Express that the electricity department was alerted about this “several times” about 10 days ago, and even “some residents reported electric shock while walking in the area.”
