A spiritually interested Russian woman and her two young children were rescued from a remote cave in the quiet Ramatha hills yet calm of Kumta Taluk in North Kannada district, police said on Saturday.
The police recognized the woman as 40 -year -old Nina Kutiina, aka Mohi, who traveled from Russia on a commercial visa from India and found her way to the de -bear through Goa, which was drew deeply by Hinduism and Indian spiritual traditions.
Her children, Priya (6) and AMA (4), went to the forest with her, where they had been living in a complete solitude for about two weeks.
He built a humble house inside a natural cave surrounded by dense forest and steep slopes. There, Mohi placed the Rudra idol and spent his day ‘Pooja’ and meditation.
It was on Friday during a regular patrol, after a recent landslide that the Circle Police Inspector Sridhar and his team wore clothes hanging outside the cave. The authorities made their way through the thick bushes of the Ramatha hill and found Mohi and his two children in the cave.

Uttara Kannada Superintendent of Police is talking to Police M Narayan, PTI On Saturday, “Our patrol team hung saris and other clothes to dry outside the cave in Ramatirtha Hill. When they went there, they saw Mohi with their children with Priya and Ama.”
He said, “It was surprising how he and his children survived in the forest and what they ate”, the woman may have reached the cave from Goa. It was also found that her visa ended in 2017. How long she is staying in India is not clear, she said.

Narayan said, “We have made arrangements to stay in an ashram run by a Sadhvi. We have started the process of taking her from Gokarna to Bengaluru and starting the exile process.” With the help of a local NGO, the Russian embassy was approached and the formalities were set to speed it to exist.
