According to police sources, two people were present in the room where Chandan Mishra was shot by five-city attackers while he was undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city on Thursday morning. One of them, identified as Durgesh Pathak, is a complainant in the case.
Five people, including prime suspects, were identified as Tauseef, Arrested in connection with the case In Kolkata, where they allegedly fled after the incident.
Pathak, a resident of Buxar, said in his complaint, “On the morning of 17 July, at around 7:20, I was sitting with Chandan Mishra in the hospital room 209, which was undergoing treatment, and Krishna Kant Pandey,” Paid, resident of Buxar, said in his complaint. “Suddenly, five armed attackers entered the room and started firing indiscriminately at Chandan Mishra. Krishna Kant Pandey participated in the bathroom to save his life, while I was shot in the right toe and fell to the ground.”
The complaint stated that he allegedly raised an alarm but “Employees arrived only 15 minutes”.
In a separate police complaint, Chandan Mishra’s father Mr. Kant Mishra accused the participation of employees in the hospital, where his son was admitted for a laparoscopic surgery.
“After the surgery, the surgeon said that Chandan would be discharged by 4:00 pm on the next day (16 July). However, when Chandan was discharged on 16th, the doctor told him that he would be discharged on 17th,” read in the complaint.

It adds that through the “A) video footage of the suspects aired in the news, he identified the Tusef Badshah, alias Naseem, as well as two and five attackers, Balwant Singh and Monu Singh”.
In addition to Tauseeef, the arrested people have been identified as his cousin Nishu Khan and two “Karmas”, Harsh and Bhima. Addressing the media outside a court in Kolkata, Khan – the allegations were denied – whose house was planned to be murdered.

SSP Sharma said, “The role of the hospital is also under investigation, especially how the accused was able to enter without any check or obstruction. The way he got the access indicates that he was there earlier,” SSP Sharma said.
