About an hour after exiting the coast of California on Tuesday afternoon, Indian astronaut group captain Shubhanshu Shukla came out of Space Dragon and called Grace to a waiting recovery ship. The spacecraft was recovered by a ship, where the crew members conducted the first medical examination after returning to Earth.

“I joined the nation in welcoming Group captain Shubhinhu Shukla as I returned to Earth from my historic mission. He has visited the International Space Station as India’s first astronaut, inspired a billion dreams through his dedication, courage and leading spirit. It is another milestone for our own human space flight missions.
The spacecraft carrying the AXIOM-4 crew separated from the International Space Station-A one-one orbit laboratory-Monday evening around 4:45 pm. After releasing the hard capture hook, the spacecraft used a series of burning engine to reach the Earth for more than 22.5 hours-burns to move away from the ISS, burns the orbit to reduce the orbit and bring the spacecraft to the necessary position to enter the Earth’s atmosphere, and then push a de-orbit that pushes into the earth.
The day-arbitration burn lasting about 18 minutes took place on Tuesday afternoon. At the end of the burn, the spacecraft allowed the trunk – the service module that bears many support systems. After that, the nose cone of the spacecraft stopped in the Earth’s atmosphere in the preparation for a very hot entry. Then, in two sets of two parachutes, the lineage of the spacecraft in each set was opened from 350 mph to about 15 or 16 mph to one hour.

Splashdown occurred before dawn from the coast of California, where there was too much fog but the water was cool.
President Draupadi Murmu tweeted: “After returning to Earth after his space trip, a warm welcome to group captain Shubanshu Shukla. His role in the piloting of Ex -Piloting Axiom Mission 4 for the International Space Station has created a new milestone for international cooperation in India’s space as well as the discovery of India’s space. My congratulations.”

“India today finds a permanent place in the world of space!” Union Space and Science Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh tweeted.
The successful completion of the mission is an important step in India’s Human Spaceflight Yatra. Not only the Axiom-4 mission took another Indian to space 41 years after Rakesh Sharma, it trained for the first Gaganian mission from its astronaut core in the country. The first crew flight with the country’s indigenously developed mission is likely to be in 2027.
On ISS, Shukla carried out seven microgravity experiments, which India sent and participated in many others. Overall, the Axiom-4 crew conducted 60 experiments representing 31 countries.
