In Jammu, Congress workers led by Karra and other senior leaders took out March to present a memorandum at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. However, he was first stopped near his party headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk.
After a brief exchange of words and a minor scuffle with the police, he continued his march, re -intercepted on the residency road. He was detained and taken to the district police lines in buses, but was released after some time.

Criticizing the officials, Karr said that his action reflects his frustration and his mentality that he does not believe in a democratic system and has no respect for people’s voice.
He said that the workers were not on the streets to spread unrest, but were demanding the demand of the people through the Lieutenant Governor to present a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Stating that the Congress would not be brought down, Karr said that the party will proceed on Monday with its ‘Delhi Challan’ program, which will be for ‘Ghare’ Parliament on the first day of the monsoon session.
