The Supreme Court on Monday said that Tamil Nadu MLA M. Jagan Murthy was given anticipatory bail, and said “the case needs consideration.”
Issuing the notice to the Tamil Nadu police, a bench of Justice Manoj Mishra and N. Kotiswar Singh directed, “Meanwhile, if the petitioner is arrested in connection with FIR number 101/2025, then registered in PS-Thiruvalangadu (RERSERUBANGU (CR No. 1/2025 resurrected), threatened witnesses or tampering the sub-witnesses.
Morthi, Kilwithinakappam AIADMK MLA, contacted the apex court after the Madras High Court dismissed its petition on 27 June.
Looking at him, senior advocate Siddharth Luthra presented, “There is no dispute that the kidnapper was recovered and not from the possession or control of the applicant.”
Luthra has “accused the MLA for the reasons for Malafida, alleging that he was abducted” and “even” assuming that the applicant interacted with a side for the dispute, which could be considered for the purposes of settling the issue. ” Luthra said, “In any incident, there is no need to interrogate any custody.”
Madras High Court too Ordered to arrest HM JairamAdditional Director General of Police (ADGP), Tamil Nadu, in this case, but it was kept separate by the Supreme Court.
Murthy and Jairam were “implicated” in the abduction of an 18 -year -old boy in Thiruvallur on 10 May. The boy was allegedly abducted by a group seeking information about his elder brother, who married a young woman from Thei district against the wishes of his family.
